Shoot, now the adults have to get out of bed early again! I took off work a little early so I could go with Leah to see them off on yet another year. No tears this time…honest (ok, . But it did remind us of how they are growing up so quick.
We headed to school today for Katie and Cameron to meet their new teachers. They had a picnic afterwards to socialize a bit. Cameron was happy to see his kindergarten teacher, Ms Fox, from last year. Katie nearly knows every single faculty member there, so she got lots of waves and hugs.
Starting at this same school back in 2004, Katie will have gone her complete elementary school tenure here. It will be a big day when she moves on to middle school.
As a side note, I somehow managed to take only one descent shot. And that was of Cameron giving his new teacher a big handshake. We were in and out of Katie’s class pretty quick and I didn’t even stop to think about taking pictures out side at the picnic. *sigh*
Well, sometimes the floor is just more comfortable…apparently. This was just asking to be the Picture Of The Day.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. I was greeted this morning by my kids who had each made custom cards for me to along with small plants that each of them had planted themselves. The icing on the cake of course was having our new baby boy at home with us. Isaac and mommy continue to do well and we are all settling in to the new groove that is, having a newborn at home.
It’s official, both Katie and Cameron are moving on to 5th and 1st grade respectively. While Cameron’s kindergarten class had a graduation ceremony, Katie’s class had a party on the last day of school. Camerons education score is right on par and while Katie needs a little work on the math side, she is well beyond her grade level in reading. I guess that explains why she read through the complete Harry Potter book series in no time.
Good job to both of you!!
I volunteered to run one of the events there, so I wasn’t able to get too many pictures. This is their last week of school, with Kindergarten graduation coming up on Monday.

Cameron’s Kindergarten class had a field trip to the Denver Zoo today. A bit chilly, but the kids still had a blast.
