Carving up the pumpkins

Carved up the pumpkins last night. I’ll have more pictures uploaded tonight but here is a group shot for now.

Halloween

Stop and look around, or you might miss something

Ran across some older pics of Katie. Hard to remember her so young. Here are some then-and-now shots.

Out with the theater seats, in with the Love Sac’s

It was the dilemma of the century. How on earth could we play our Nintendo Wii when the theater seats were in the way!?! Our survival was in complete jeopardy. But then we thought, how about some bean bags. Back in 2002 when we were in California we saw this store that sold nothing but a product called “Love Sac’s.” They were bean bags, but much nicer. Fast forward to yesterday, where we sold our theater seats on Craigslist.com. What did we do today? Of course we went to the Love Sac store and picked up a few. If you think you might want one, keep in mind that their largest ones, are indeed very large! The one we picked up was already “fluffed” up since it was on the showroom floor and it took up every bit of space we had behind the second row in new van.

But now, we can roll the Love Sac’s out of the way when we want to play the Wii. Our family will survive after all.

New vehicle to haul the family around

Short story? Well, the Durango was just getting to be too small. We wanted something were we could get to the kids without having to get out of the vehicle, and we wanted it to be reliable. Introducing, the Dodge Sprinter passenger van. Basically a Merceds Benz passneger van with Dodge logo’s on it. It is running a new 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel that is really nice to drive.

First snow for the 2007 winter season

Yesterday afternoon, breezy and 68 degrees. Today, snow with a high of 32. We got about 4 inches of really wet snow this morning. Had to go out back a couple times to shake the branches on the trees before they snapped. Bring it on!

A movie clip from the dinner table

The kids, all at the dinner table.

The first apples

Yesterday we picked the first apples from the apple trees we planted this year. Although we planted apple, pear, and cherry trees, only one apple tree produced anything this year.

Starting Over

I’ve decided I am going to try and make more of an effort to update this site regularly. I know there are other’s who would like to know whats going on, but on top of that, it would be cool to go back and look at whats happened in the past. This would be a good way to go about it. I’ve added a ’subscription’ feature to the site that will send a message to a list of email addresses to inform others of new posts to the site. If you want to be added, let me know at troy@wical.com.

Cameron goes on his first field trip

I went with Cameron’s kindergarten class today on a field trip to a nearby farm. All the kids took a hay ride around the 100 acre farm to various areas where they picked potatoes, onions, pumpkins, beets etc. This also happened to be his first school bus ride, which he loved.
